I am a journalist with more than 15 years of experience covering science, health and more. I write for publications such as Everyday Health, 5280, Spoke + Blossom, Boulder Weekly, Colorado Parent, and Sapiens.
I have a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, with a focus in science writing. I graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, and was awarded the Bristol Fellowship, studying rivers in New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Chile. I hung out with gnarly raft guides and poetic fly fishermen—and also kayaked some amazing whitewater.
These days, I enjoy running and bicycling--but I'll admit I can't keep up with the other ruthlessly fit people in Colorado. Whenever possible, I paddle my canoe out on the water with my husband and two sons.
